

My Thunderbolt is running smoothly but DSA thinks it's out-of-date. The real annoyance for me is that, despite doing all this with the latest () driver and confirming in Device Manager that the driver matches the version and date, DSA _still_ tells me that I need to update the driver. The links for all this are on the page where you manually download the driver. Finally, you must reinstall the Thunderbolt software from Microsoft Store. Point this to the folder where you unzipped the driver package and let it run. Right click on the Base Device and select to Update Drivers. Then you must check in Device Mangler that the drivers also uninstalled and that you have a Base Device (if not, you can scroll through System Devices to find the Thunderbolt controller and uninstall it there, which will create this Base Device). Then you must uninstall the Thunderbolt software in the Windows apps list. You must download the drivers manually and unzip the contents.

You can try BIOS assisted, but the Native is the state of the art that Thunderbolt has been working towards since its conception. There should be something about BIOS auto switch, disable that and force it to Native enumeration mode. The DCH drivers are a pain in the derriere, Thunderbolt particularly. They should be Thunderbolt enabled, no pre-boot modules or boot support, 'Secure Connect'.
